Overview

GIÓ Coconut Coffee Store is a modest café tucked away in the industrial area of Jalan 227b, Seksyen 51a, Petaling Jaya. It offers an authentic slice of Vietnamese comfort through a curated menu that spotlights vibrant staples like Bun Bo, Pho, Banh Mi, and refreshing beverages such as Coconut Shake and Ice Vietnam Coffee. The intimate space, though limited in seating, exudes a cozy atmosphere enhanced by the genuine warmth of the owners—a Vietnamese couple dedicated to preserving traditional flavors.

The culinary highlight here is undoubtedly the pho and Bun Bo, both praised for their balanced broths and hearty servings of meat. The Bun Bo stands out with its spicy, umami-laden broth that delivers satisfying depth without overwhelming the palate. Their pho presents a more delicate, nuanced flavor profile, steering clear of excessive sweetness, which many patrons find appealing. For those seeking variety, the soups offer distinct experiences—one reminiscent of a light tom yam, while the other remains faithful to Vietnamese roots.

While the food shines with generous portions and authentic tastes, the coffee offerings evoke mixed reactions. The brown coffee and salted coffee bring bold, intense flavors, some indicating a strong enough kick to awaken the weary. Yet, a few customers note that the coffee machine extracts can occasionally result in over-extraction, slightly detracting from the otherwise pleasant beverage experience. Coconut shakes and mango milk tea provide refreshing alternatives, perfect for balancing the tropical Malaysian climate.

Accessibility is generally convenient, with parking easy to find—a detail that enhances the laid-back lunchtime or afternoon break atmosphere. GIÓ Coconut Coffee Store appeals especially to those who appreciate Vietnam’s rich culinary heritage, represented here with sincerity and comfort. It’s a gem for locals and visitors wanting to savor real Vietnamese street food flavors in a humble setting, away from tourist crowds.

In summary, GIÓ Coconut Coffee Store is a worthwhile stop for hearty, well-crafted Vietnamese soups and drinks in Petaling Jaya. The combination of well-rounded dishes, attentive service, and a relaxed vibe make it an inviting spot for casual diners and adventurous food lovers alike.

Came on a cool windy afternoon, and had one of the most relaxing and happy meals. Parking also was easy to find, thankfully. One bowl of Vietnamese pho with a good ratio of meat to noodles, the soup isn't overly sweet too, which is just to my liking. The small cup of chilli pairs very well with it. Had a cup of salted coffee to end the meal. Quite satisfied and will come again.

Very good value for money and tasty soup. If you order the double meat, it is really plenty of meat to feed 2 people. We ordered the 2 popular soup, and one tastes like a light Tom Yam. The other one tastes like traditional Vietnamese Pho. The salted coffee is strong enough to wake up the dead. I would not expect this place in the location, but it explains why is pork free, which perfectly fine.

Located at the industrial area. Friendly boss with the Vietnamese wife. Tried the Pho Beef and Bun Bo. Delicious & yummy. Big portion of meat. Coconut shakes was just nice to cool down the weather. The iced brown coffee didn't quite hit the palate though.

Food is nice. Pho and bun bo are delicious and affordable. But coffee is not nice. They use coffee machine so the coffee is extracted too much. It makes the coffee taste bad. The shop is quite small and they have only few seats

The Vietnamese food here is good, the flavours are on point and the beef doesn’t have a too strong of a taste. Had the chicken Pho, the owner was kinda enough to inform us that the soup was cooked with beef, as he thought we couldn’t consume beef. Overall the soup was flavourful and the noodle and chicken combination is good. We also had the beef Banh Mi it was good. The coconut coffee was on point too you can request for the right sugar level if you want to. Definitely a place worth to try if you are craving for some Vietnamese food.

Absolutely blown away and fell in love at first bite. Can never go back to other restaurants for pho again after this. Beef portion is really generous considering the price. Soup is really flavourful too. Their signature coffee - Coconut coffee is really nice as well! Already craving for it while typing this review. Atmosphere wise, it's clean. 10/10 would return spot. Very highly recommended ~
